 Camden butcher earns new crown 

Macarthur Country Meats, a Camden butchery, owned by Phillip Byrne and managed by Chris Sawtell, won first place in several categories at the south west Australian Meat Industry Council’s Sausage King and Best Butcher’s Burger competition. They will now compete for the state title on September 23. The butchery was awarded first for their traditional Australian pork, poultry, Australian lamb, continental and gourmet sausages along with a first place for the best butcher’s gourmet burger.
