Propak Africa 2022 – Day 2

Propak Africa attracted thousands of visitors to live event

The first two days of Propak Africa saw thousands of visitors attending the show eager to see the latest products, machinery, technology and innovation offered by the 200+ exhibitors.

Taking place this week from 8-11 March at the Expo Centre Nasrec in Johannesburg, Propak Africa took place between 8-11 March and provided a much-needed platform for buyers and sellers to connect face-to-face, business partnerships to develop, and where industry can come together and new products and services launched.

Mark Anderson, portfolio director at Specialised Exhibitions, organisers of the show stated that they were excited to be at the live Propak Africa event and it had a great vibe and lots of face-to-face engagement between the exhibitors and visitors. Everyone was enthusiastic about being together again at the show and the opportunities it brought for business.”

“Many of our exhibitors are seasoned Propak Africa exhibitors having been part of the show for many years. We also have new exhibitors here for the first time. Spending time at Propak Africa and co-located shows The GAPP Print Expo, Pro-Plas Expo, FoodPro and Pro-Label Expo is enabling visitors to find products and solutions to address their business needs.” said Anderson.

Exhibitors experienced a positive first two days at the show with Nishara Naidoo, Director at Inpakt who said that the show had been phenomenal and they had really good enquiries from Africa”, whilst Marc Black, MD at Morgancoat stated that after two years it was great to be back and refreshing to be able to engage with customers face-to-face as well as within the industry at large.

Every day at Propak Africa was a ‘themed day’ experience. Day one’s focus was New Products – with a wide range of new products and services being showcased by exhibitors. The second day of the show focused on Sustainability. In celebration of this day, Propak Africa donated 100 pairs of shoes made from recycled medical drip bags to Inkwenkwezi School in Diepkloof in support of the Step Into Greatness initiative. The theme for day three was Occupational Health and Safety, and day four, the final day, ‘local is lekker’ South African day.

Further value for visitors, the free-to-attend seminars took place daily in the Seminar Theatre in Hall 5 with topics aligned to the theme days.

All Covid-19 regulations were in place at Propak Africa.
